SOLHYD
HYDROGEN GAS PANELS
At the Solhyd Innovation Booth, you’ll discover the hydrogen gas panels which everyone is talking about.
Solhyd hydrogen panels are modular devices which produce renewable hydrogen from air and sunlight. They capture water vapor from ambient air and use solar energy to split it into hydrogen and oxygen.
This allows anyone, anywhere, to produce their own hydrogen at any scale. It enables you to switch from fossil fuels to renewables for any application.
Just like solar panels, they can be used in many ways. Hydrogen panels can be installed on the roof of a building, but many more potential applications are being explored as we speak.

MiDIAGNOSTICS
COVID-19 PCR TEST
The COVID-19 PCR Test from miDiagnostics is based on a unique silicon chip technology from imec (Leuven, Belgium) and developed in close collaboration with Johns Hopkins University.
The test enables diagnosis of COVID-19 infections with the accuracy, sensitivity and reproducibility of a traditional lab-based PCR test, but with the ease and speed of an antigen test. Within 30 minutes of on-site registration, patients receive their results, with the real-time PCR itself taking less than 15 minutes.

REIN4CED
THE UNBREAKABLE BICYCLE
Light and strong carbon fiber composites, known from Formula 1 and race bikes, face sudden, brittle and dramatic fracture behavior. In order to tackle this problem, REIN4CED has developed and patented a brand new impact resistant composite material.
REIN4CED’s focus is currently on the bicycle world. However, once the first bicycle projects are up and running, other markets will be explored as well, such as automotive and aerospace.

SEW EURODRIVE
DRIVE RADAR
We will show and demonstrate DriveRadar®, a comprehensive, condition monitoring and predictive maintenance system that digitally records and evaluates data and enables event prediction for the drive system and its environment.
In our vision the analog motor from yesterday, becomes the smart node of the IOT from tomorrow. This is achieved by digitizing the drive and adding processing and sensor capabilities, all fully integrated in the drive.
Thru the SEW MovilinkDDI® digital single-cable solution we connected the unconnected and make condition monitoring data available in all levels of automation: from drive to control to edge processing and cloud.

HIPPO DX
AUTOMATED ALLERGY DIAGNOSTIC DEVICE
30% of today’s population is allergic. That’s why Hippo Dx has developed an automated allergy diagnostic device: S.P.A.T.
S.P.A.T. uses pioneering technology to create a new standard in providing evidence for allergic sensitization and can help to confirm the diagnosis of a suspected type I allergy.
It will provide a more consistent, cheaper and faster test result to help the physician on the diagnostic pathway. Results will also be digitally available to accelerate the entire process and generate less mistakes in handeling outcomes.
Test your allergies at the Hippo Dx booth!

DRIPL
HEALTHY DRINKS
Dripl is a packaging-free beverage dispenser that provides everyone in the workplace with natural lemonade, a healthy and delicious alternative to water.
With this, the designers, Colin and Lucas, want to help reduce waste and eliminate unnecessary transportation. By mixing soft drinks in the vending machine itself with tap water and using reusable cups and bottles, Dripl's vending machines save an average of 180 kg of plastic bottles, 1500 kWh of electricity and 3600 liters of water less to transport every year.

FORMULA ELECTRIC CAR
DRIVING SIMULATOR
Formula Electric Belgium unites a group of motivated engineering students from different campuses of KU Leuven University and Thomas More University College in Belgium. The Formula project offers the team members a working environment in which they have to apply all their technical and soft skills.
Apart from enhancing these skills and bringing their education to a higher level, the practical goal of the project is to design, build and drive an electric Formula Student race car. In this process, they are joined by several partners who help realize the building of the car.
At the event, you will be able to feel the excitement of driving the Formula Electric Car in a real driving simulator!

BP PRECISION AIRLINE SERVICES
AIRCRAFT—CLEANING ROBOT
Cleaning aircrafts without spilling too much water on the tarmac is an everyday requirement at a modern environmentally conscious airport. As simple as it sounds; this is top technology from soap over wash head to telescopic wash arm. This is where the Washbot comes in.
BP Precision Airline Services has become the reference for interior and exterior cleaning at all Belgian airports. Especially exterior cleaning is very labor-intensive and needs to be done in a much more ecological way. Washing an airplane is like washing a car, but much larger and much more sensitive. The (partial) automation of these cleaning activities is a huge step forward.

MATERIALISE
3D PRINTED MODULES
Materialise is a well-known brand in the world of 3D printing. The Leuven-based company marks itself out with its continuous innovation, both alone and in collaboration with partners.
Materialise was one of the pioneers of 3D printing and has been expanding their know-how continuously.
Prototypes, including printed material for racing cars and satellites… parts for airplanes or drones… mass-customised products which are often medical products, such as hearing aids, insoles or glasses… you name it, Materialise can make it.
At the event, you’ll see some impressive 3D printed models of all kinds.

NETALUX
NEEDLE 300W
This medium powered laser cleaning machine is built for industrial use where mobility and heavy duty by design is essential. With this unique approach, the laser unit stores the handheld lasergun and the connecting fiber. The lasergun is well protected during transport, yet still easy to access when needed. The trolley handle functions not only as a firm grip, it also protects the advanced touch-screen when the device is loaded in the van to its next job.
Large wheels assure a smooth movement trough industrial terrain.
The handset features a rotatable laser head, good weight distribution and a handle that can be rotated 360 degrees for both left and right-handed users. An integrated lens switcher plus a dozen of other features provide extreme user friendliness, even for the most challenging use cases out there.

VALCUN
METAL ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
Metal additive manufacturing was co-invented at the KU Leuven during the early nineties. 30 years later the technology is not widely seen in the industry.
The reason is simple: the developed laser-powder bed fusion technology is slow, expensive, and hardly industrialisable. ValCUN has developed a new technology based on liquid metal extrusion. This innovative technology is faster, more economical, and, above all, industrializeable.
The initial material focus of ValCUN is aluminum. Applications are widespread in the metal production industry. Neat net shapes and heat exchangers are two focal points. Aluminum has high thermal conductivity and is an ideal material for heat exchangers. Combining these material properties with the complex geometry that ValCUN can manufacture leads to high-performant heat exchangers. These can be used in electric vehicles, ICT infrastructure or any other hot sector.
AND WHAT ABOUT THE REST OF YOUR DAY?
